In the first 20 secs of that video you can see a square black box section by the window runner.
I reckon the rear of the barrel is behind that.
Probably need to remove the window runner. Just 1 bolt usually.
Pull the rubber out the Channel first.
It usually clips in at the top which can be a bit of a pig if you aren’t aware.
When refitting the rubber, spray a bit of silicon in the metal channel to make it go in easy and the window not to be slow
Have a look at the eBay link on page 2 to see what the rear of the barrel should look like

Do you mean this screw? Circled in yellow.
I pryed the black box open a bit and put my finger in while spinning the key. So far didn’t feel spin

Don’t think so.
You will just have to feel where the channel has a bracket. Bolt will be near there.

The rail seems to be part of the door metal like pressed together. If I lift the foam up there’s no screws behind it.
Because I don’t know what I’m looking for I don’t know. Have felt around etc.
I’m currently looking for videos highlighting the exact area I should be lookingDisco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7

You could take the brute force method.
Tin snips and/or bend out the way.
It’s there to stop ppl putting rods down the glass and breaking in.
Or take the handle out from the outside.
Humm doesn’t look much fun on this later model. Maybe won’t help

I tried bending the left side slider backwards and don’t have the strength
Have got the lock out the door
But the handle I don’t know how to remove. No videos on YouTube. Only one of the skin removal for 2 piece but mines 1 pieceDisco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7

Ok so progress!?
The video you sent is a different setup to mine as it doesn’t have a screw outside to undo the handle...
However I tried by chance with some thin long pliers with the nose inside from externally, down the hole where the barrel was... forced it to the right and hey presto the door unlocked and alarm went off!
So I’m presuming this means internally is ok, and the barrel plastic bits that are on the barrel aren’t long enough to grip maybe?

hey, I know you can fix this now!
If stiff, oil it.
Maybe its not engauged correctly? Is there a flat that needs to line up.
or as you say not long enough

They aren’t meant to rotate far.
If the key isn’t well connected to the black plastic then that could be the issue.
I guess the spring returns it to center to aid fitting

The key blade doesn’t reach to the black but with the turning arm bits of plastic
But it is an aftermarket key blade
The black does move about 45degrees clockwise with the key, when the barrel is removed from the car... but when I put the barrel in the car, the key spins non stop.
The spring metal bit seems to bypass the black part from turning. Only when the lock is in the door.
I’ve tried spinning the spring and trying to see if it clicks in place in the door, but no joy
It must be the correct barrel and key as it does go in and turn when removed.
Also just tried other spare blades in the door no joyDisco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7
