MOT implications are a cat is still not needed for a diesel.
A RfR is a cat that is missing, but only on a car that is subject to a full cat test.
Only SI (petrol/LPG) engines are subject to a cat test.
A diesel engine is only subject to a smoke test

I wanted a de-cat fitted when my engine was replaced, but for one thing and another it didn't happen. I've fitted the Allisport off-road IC and that improves mid-range in particular and am now thinking about fitting the de-cat pipe before the turbo bolts have rusted on too much
How much difference to pick up etc do you notice? Mark.

Went out to have a look at changing mine tonight. The nuts on the turbo on my car were a 14mm, well at least the one accessible through the wheel arch was.
It wanted to start to round so have left for another day.
