| Group Buy - Double DIN Fitting Kit |
|
As some of you may have seen in another topic, I have found Kenwood UK make a double DIN fitting & fascia kit for the D3. I can't find anyone locally to source this, but have got a UK company who are willing to post to me. Since there seems to be some interest from others, I thought I'd open it up and if there were others interested to contact me asap and confirm their details.
At this stage we're probably looking at $75 for the kit (33pounds) and then postage. I'll have them send the units direct to me in Brisvegas, and then I'll post out to others.
If you're interested, check the other forum topic and also the Kenwood site.

They may suit other double DIN units, but that's up to you to decide. From what I've seen, the Kenwood units are more price competitive than Pioneer or Eclipse, and the nav unit is a garmin, which from my experience with a Nuvi 310 is all good!
I don't want to draw this out for long, so I'll leave it to next week-end to get responses and then make the arrangements then.
Cheers
Justin

Count me in,
but you should expect a decent discount on the actual price for a group buy not just a saving on postage. I think postage on each from UK would not be much different from the share of from UK plus within Oz.
Ask for a group buy price before postage and then work out what bulk postage would be or if as cheap, each can order their own direct . Getting there is half the fun

Good thinking wopac5 but the first one is definately not disco 3 base stereo one. Second one who knows it is so fuzzy.
The Base and Hi line are different.

Click on above link. There might be a problem with the aftermarket double-din unit replace the base unit.
We might not be able to put an aftermarket unit because of this.

noidea - the quote in that thread only relates to the hi-line ICE. No problems if you have a base ICE - except that you would lose the clock on the instrument cluster (for those with MY07 or later models).
Cheers,
Rob
That clear things up Thanks for that. I'm in again.
