Wow, if you had asked what peoples thoughts were about doing what you have done, I and many others would have said it would look rubbish. But now I've seen it it looks great, especially like the satin finish. Well done you The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Looks good. Have you got a link to the springs and shocks you put on? I went for Old Man Emu same lift but they don't do shocks,i kept original and it drives a lot better than the OEM springs . I never came across Lovels springs when i did my research

Very nice preparation Simon
And the wrap looks fantastic in two-tone.
It reminds me of the D3 of one of the guys on the Spanish forum - he repainted his in a Camel Trophy 'ish colour which is very similar to yours:

As Snowy said, the matt/satin finish looks very nice - how does it stand up to scratches?
I look forward to seeing more photos 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I agree with Lee - especially if there was some way to carry the colour scheme over in a subtle way to the ProSpeed rack 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Great project.
I think the colour looks fantastic. When reading about projects like this, it really gives me a boost to get on with my vehicle. So far I have just been replacing damaged trim & service items. Roof rack, ladder & winch coming soon......

It really looks simillar PaulP - thanks for the link - but I think the two tone - expecially on the front - looks better
Regarding standing up to scratches - I will tell you when I finally clean it after last off road trips
But as I looked at the specification of the wrap - it is 100 micron thick, with service life around 6-7 years. Got 3 years warranty from the company that put it on the car and also seen that potential scratches are not as visible on the bright surface as on the black one (expecially satin). Anyway - if any of you want satin black on the whole car there is a wrap that "cleans up" all the scratches when put in heat (for instance when the car is exposed to the sun 8) )
I've been thinking of the roof rack of course - at the moment it is a matter of future, as I already spent some cash on that project Been talking to one guy here in Poland regarding making a custom project for this car. Of course it would depend how much he asked for it.
By the way - do you know what is the price for ProSpeed rack that you've mentioned? I like it very much and maybe should consider buying this one (there is of course a matter of delivery cost to Poland, as it is surelly heavy thing.. )
Thanks for looking!
