Click on the sponsors link (above) and then click the TurboChip banner. Talk to them in sunny Carlisle and they will point you in the direction of a local TC man. Cost will be about £500+vat if I recall correctly....... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

From reading other posts, those that have gone the Turbo Chip route are as pleased with the service they've received and the result as those that have taken the Torq Tune route. I may be wrong but, for Forum members, Turbo Chip seems to be cheaper than Torq Tune.
Can someone help me to decide in simple terms whether I should go for Turbo Chip or Torq Tune.

There are one or two on here who have had both in their D3 (not at the same time). I doubt there is much in it personally...... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

I have had TC done on mine, I must admit that from the posts on here I would have expected more of a dramatic difference in performance .
I have a little test run to compare different vehicles, it is a staedy climb of about half a mile, there is an arrow painted on the road, I hit this at 50MPH then see what the termination speed is at a point at the top of the hill, I tried this when I first got the car, before TC, termination speed at the top of the hill is exactly the same with or without TC , this doesn't seem right to me, any thoughts I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Futher to my last posting, is there anyone in the Shropshire / Midlands area that has had a ReMap that I could compare with, also just got it back from the dealer with a new front drive shaft, they obviously took it out for a test drive but didn't enquire whether I'd had it 'chipped', after reading how others cars are so dramatically different that it can be felt in the first 10 yards or so it's making me wonder whether I've wasted a good wedge of cash Let's face it I could have used that money to by next years VED I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Any chance the dealer has "helpfully" reloaded your engine software and overwritten your remap with the standard map???
Certainly any chipped car is very noticably different to std unless you have a fault that has appeared such as duff EGR valve(s) that stuff performance as one of the symptoms maybe??? Cheers
