Is anyone else having an issue where the hot functions do nothing? It will read codes and live data fine. When you click on a hot function, like geometry setup, the text goes orange, but nothing happens.
This is happening on two different devices, one is a brand new phone. It seems annoying that the device lasted a few years, and now seems to be unusable.

So it seems grey imports have been blocked from hot functions. That's a bit crap.
I bought mine from autelstore.co.uk. Their website says something like the software will only work for a year. Can anyone verify that? I can't see any ability to repurchase the land Rover software, as it doesn't give any sort of option to do that.

Mine were sold as the originally chosen car brand working indefinitely, but any additions only being licensed for 1yr at a time.
I did have one from quite a few years ago that stopped being synced...seemed not to be a device problem but software/authorisation and couldn't get anyone from the seller or manufacturer to sort it. Bought another one to do the DPF regen on an Astra estate and it worked well for that, but I don't trust it to continue working or to have any kind of support...unlike GAP!
I probably got my money's worth even with the relatively little amount I used it.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Don’t know if this is useful but have seen on some sites regarding the Autel the following
Doesn’t do key programming
Will only work on phones and not suitable for tablets
Can Not Support Injector Coding and Mileage Correction Functions.
The Bluetooth pairing process needs to be done in App rather than in Android Bluetooth setting. (On the iOS device, go to Settings -> Bluetooth.)
There’s also the number of function's, some have 10 x where other’s have 19
With that I’m wondering if that’s why there been a mixture of feedback where some will and other won’t work

Well mine has 19 supposed functions and doesn't work except for usual code reading/clearing....I did pair through the app too.
I've taken the plunge and ordered a Gap IID but for what it's worth I've been in contact with the distributer I bought mine from (www.auteldiag.co.uk). They're based in China so don't pay any attention to the 'co.uk' domain...they're not based in the UK. They are responding to my queries quite well but after a few back and forths (and me sending them a screen recording from my phone of the issues) they said the following...
"Hello, dear Mike,
Reinstall the software and APP, and try changing the phone. If it's still the same then it's a software issue.
There is no solution for software problems, because the R&D personnel no longer maintain the software of AP200 cars.
Laughable! I've responded to ask for a full refund and so far no response. From reading other people's posts, I am expecting them to ask me to post it back to China at my expense and be difficult with a refund. I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

Yep - that one is called 'Diag-Europe' and basically seems to support the specific manufacturer software installation. The Land Rover software installed (the one for free and for life) is version 2.01.

Just double checked on mine for u, have 16 x service items , shows in the first screen V1.45 (1.44.01), other ones shows Eobd V3.00 and Land Rover V2.00
Wonder if Autel themselves can assist , apologises if you’ve already tried that
Have seen a few variations of the Autel web sites , indeed very frustrating with regards to where some of us have been lucky and others like ur good self not
Great you’ve ordered the gap iid as indeed the after sales is second to none

One via Amazon says 25 x functions and the footnote
If the car can not compatible with Autel AP200 OBD code reader, you can send AMAZON MESSAGE with the model, year, VIN of your vehicle info to us. The defective software is likely to be fixed via upgrade.

We just need more data from people who have purchased recently. I'm skeptical with most of the descriptions on ebay or Amazon now

Indeed, am wondering if the likes of Amazon might be the best as at least then there should be some comeback or help if it doesn’t work as intended , however if I remember rightly I ordered it from Autel uk so don’t have any personally experience with regards to ordering from Amazon
But indeed as u say would be good if others would kindly list who they bought there’s from and of it worked as intended , suppose then we could at least try and establish which ones to order from in the future
Plus shame there isn’t a way of clearing the original software and re downloading it from a good known source
But as above found 5 x different places the AP200 can be purchased from

If you go to https://www.autel.uk/ there is no sign of AP200 being on sale and if you search for AP200 then you get the message “Sorry, but we couldn't find any results”
So the question is is there such a thing as an official UK Autel dealer?

It's frustrating that mine did work for a couple of years, and now it seems like all the the hot functions have been disabled. I used it for tight tolerance mode and suspension adjustments without issue until now.
